JOIN US FOR THE HOTTEST 5K IN TOWN!

The race starts and ends at the UW-Natatorium. The course runs along the Howard Temin Lakeshore Path with a short jaunt through the neighborhood around University Bay Dr.

RUN WITH SOMEONE YOU LOVE… OR JUST LIKE!

Grab your sweetheart (or friend or family member) and run as a team. In celebration of Valentine’s Day, we’re sharing the love by giving teams a discount. Each teammate runs 5K and their combined time will be used to determine team place.

REGISTRATION

Save time and money by pre-registering for the race. We offer mail-in and online registration. Pre-registered runners will receive a confirmation email within two weeks. Packet pick-up is at the UW-Natatorium from 9:30-10:50am on race day.

Entry fee:$5 ($8 team) before Feb. 5, then $10 ($15 team) on race day

Athens to Atlantis

You can register online at Athens to Atlantis.  Online registration closes at 11:59 PM on Wednesday, February 5.

Mail-in Registration

Print and complete the mail-in registration form. TEAMS: Please consider mailing all teammate registration forms and checks in a single envelope.

Forms must be mailed by Monday, February 5.

Race-day Registration

Race-day registration is available at the UW-Natatorium from 9:30-10:50am.

AWARDS CATEGORIES

Awards will be announced starting at 11:45am. Award categories include:

  • Top individual male and female finishers
  • Top male, female, and coed teams
  • Team members are not eligible for individual awards
  • All participants are eligible to win raffle prizes drawn at the end of the race, but you must be present to win!

RACE GUIDELINES AND INFORMATION

  1. Wear bibs on the front so they are visible
  2. No pets, roller skates, or inline skates
  3. Baby strollers and baby joggers are permitted
  4. Each mile is marked along the course
  5. Splits will be read at the 1 mile and 2 mile points
  6. Runners will be directed into a chute at the finish and should remain in a single-file line until their the tear-off portion of their bib is removed.
  7. Runners should only cross the finish line once to ensure proper race timing. If finished runners wish to return to the course and finish with a friend, they are advised to veer off before reaching the finish chute.
  8. The course closes at noon; you may continue to finish the race untimed
  9. Results will be available online shortly after the race

Val5Kcourse.  A course map will also be available on race day.  Please note that the route may change due to construction or other unavoidable conflicts.

AID STATIONS

There are no aid stations along the course. However, refreshments will be available at the finish.

TEAM INFORMATION

  1. Teams consist of 2 members, each running a 5K
  2. Team options include male, female or coed
  3. Teammate times are combined to determine team place
  4. Team members are not eligible for individual awards

RACE RESULTS

Results will be posted on our Results Page shortly after the race.

PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION

Parking is available in Lot 57 across from the UW-Natatorium. Should you choose to take the bus, the Nat is on Metro bus route 80 (free!).
