Here you’ll find training resources, race guides, and much more. The Running Club is a great group: freshman to grad students, casual joggers to competitive racers. We welcome UW-Madison runners of all speeds and all levels of experience to join us for great workouts and fun.
Freeze for Food Race!
Freeze for Food race is starting on March 6th this year as a virtual race! There is a 5K and 10K option and a discounted price for students (only $10!). This race is a fundraiser for Open Doors for Refugees, an organization that works on food security projects for refugees in the greater Madison area. COVID 19 UPDATES
As the Spring 2021 semester continues, we wanted to give our members an update on how Running Club will operate. It saddens us to announce that we will not be having in-person runs, workouts, or socials until further notice. We are currently waiting for university approval to allow us to phase in small in-person group runs, we will update our members as this develops.
That said, we hope that you join our running community this semester virtually! We will be sending out weekly “newsletter” emails that will include multiple run routes around the Madison area, fun food recipes and tips for fueling, ab and/or bodyweight circuits, stretching tips, and maybe even throw in a hill workout (just for fun ).
We also plan on having fun socials virtually in the hopes of forming a strong running community on campus. Though we may not get to run together this semester, we hope to host events like yoga sessions, live ab workouts, book club, trivia nights, etc.
There will be no dues associated with being a member of Running Club this semester (woot woot)! The only requirements to be a member this semester will be to fill out a consent form and health waiver on IMLeagues.
