Running Club @ UW has teamed up with the Black Student Union to fight the systemic racism prevalent throughout our country and communities, and we need your help! The Arbery Virtual Race is Running Club’s first virtual race, and our proceeds will go to the Wisconsin Black Initiative Fund. We are a social running club that prides ourselves on welcoming runners of all levels and backgrounds. No one should fear for their lives when going on a run. For that reason, we have decided to make our race 5.11km to honor the birthday (May 11th) of Ahmaud Arbery, who was murdered while jogging on February 23, 2020.
Time and Location:
Since this is a virtual race, you will be able to run your race anywhere and anytime between 12 am on Saturday, August 15th to 11:59 pm Saturday, August 22th.
Pricing: $8 + RunSignUp processing fee
Each participant will receive a commemorative sticker. This will be sent over the mail, so please include your mailing address when registering.

Results of the race will be posted on the Running Club’s website after this window.
About the WBIF:
The WBIF is a collection that will eventually be split to support the UW Black Cultural Center and national organizations working to challenge injustice and inequity.
